The Gretna Public School District extends its sincere gratitude to the community for its continued support. Residents of Gretna are encouraged to watch their mailboxes for important correspondence from the district regarding the upcoming census. Timely completion of this census is essential and greatly appreciated.

Residents can complete the census using one of four convenient methods: online, mobile, mail, or dropoff.

Online:

Mobile:

  • Download the GPS app, open it, and select “GPS Census”

  • Or scan the QR code provided in your mailing

Mail / In Person:

  • Complete and return the postcard included in your mailing

  • Postcards may be mailed back to the district

  • New this year: Residents may also drop off completed postcards at the district office or any Gretna Public Schools building

The census plays a vital role in the district’s planning efforts, including enrollment projections, and is required by Nebraska state laws 79-528(1), 79-524, and 79-578. Participation from all households within the Gretna Public School District is essential.

Who should complete the GPS Census?

  • Households with only adults

  • Households with preschool-aged children

  • Households with students in any type of schooling

  • Households with college students returning for the summer

  • Households moving within or leaving the district

  • Households with children who have relocated
