The School Board approved the 2027-2028 school year calendar at last night’s meeting. To help families plan ahead, we are sharing the 2025-2026, 2026-2027, and 2027-2028 calendars early so vacations and appointments can be scheduled with minimal impact on learning.
As we plan for future school years, we also want to remind families why attendance matters. Missing 10 percent of the school year, about 18 days, can significantly affect student success at all grade levels. In the early grades, strong attendance supports reading development. In middle and high school, regular attendance is closely connected to academic progress and graduation.
Improving attendance is a shared responsibility, and small habits make a big difference. Planning vacations and appointments outside of school days, maintaining consistent routines, and staying connected with your child’s school all help students succeed.

First graders in Miss Beach's music room are working on counting and clapping rhythms with popsicle sticks.
This week, Mrs. Schram's 4th grade class is diving into the world of weathering! Students got hands-on and conducted a cool lab experiment, shaking up rocks in a jar to see the changes up close.
Science is on in Mrs. Love's class! 3rd graders are getting hands-on with books, tape, paper, and marbles, building ramps and learning the thrill of STEM!

Miss Beach and Mr. Rohde teamed up to teach a combined PE/Music class with the 5th graders. They played rhythms with basketballs and buckets and made their own ensembles with the PE equipment!
Mrs. Fulton's Hero Huddle group is mixing creativity and math!
Mrs. Matousek's second graders finished their Writing Like Scientists unit! They learned how to research, take notes, and write paragraphs, procedures, and lab reports. Students combined what they learned in writing with what they were learning in science do research about boats, take notes and write a paragraph about boats. Then, with a group they designed a boat, built it, and filled out a lab report while they tested it.
Mrs. Collins' second graders are busy getting into the holiday spirit this week! They have played fun games, measured each other with candy canes and made a wish to help others this season!
