Teacher-Librarian
Welcome to Harvest Hills Elementary! I have been in education for 22 years. 12 years as a fourth grade teacher and ten as a librarian. I graduated with my undergraduate in Education from Peru State. I then graduated with my masters in Elementary Education from Doane University and my K-12 Library Media from the University of Nebraska - Omaha. I absolutely love being in the library and having the opportunity to work with your children.
My husband Lance (School Resource Officer at GHS) have two sons, Mason and Nick. Both of our sons live in Lincoln. Mason is married and Nick will be married this coming October! We also have a spoiled German Shepherd named Gunnar. As a family we love to travel, spend time together, cook and play games. I, of course, also love to read and discuss books!
I am very excited to be the librarian here at Harvest Hills. Getting to know your children, helping them find books that interest them, researching topics and answering questions are a few of the things that I love to do daily. We have many great things planned for this year including an author visit, a One School - One Book program, and of course our book fair as well as many other activities.

This is my fourth year working for Gretna Public Schools. I started as a Kindergarten/1st grade para at Falling Waters Elementary and this will be my third year in the library at Harvest Hills. Before I working in the schools, I ran my own in-home daycare for ten years.
I have been married to my husband Aaron for 17 years and have 3 children. Dylan is in 9th grade, Evan is in 7th grade and Olivia in 4th.
When I am not at school, I am usually at a ball field of some sort. Between baseball/softball, football and basketball, the kids keep us busy! In the little free time I get, I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking and baking!
I am love being in the library and sharing my love of reading with all of the children at Harvest Hills!
